Ocean Side Hawks Nest

Great location, friendly staff. Affordable rates. We stayed in a standard room, very clean with a comfy double bed. If your about ambience and being well within walking distance to the beach this is a great place. You can hear the waves from the room. We will return. Some of the fixtures are in need of attention, but its all about the location, cleanliness and friendliness, with a pool and heated spa. Spot on for us.

The ladies in the office are lovely, booking me in last minute and making us feel so welcome. Myself and my kids had the best time in the pool, slide was a hit! Location is fantastic as it’s easy walking distance to the ocean shops park and benchmark hotel. Second time stay and can’t wait to be back, love the laid back vibe of this place x

Our experience with staff on site/office we have no complaints about at all. However, we booked a townhouse 54 Booner Street through Oceanside and the experience was unnerving. On arrival a large ute/truck sitting idling watching us and approaching us to open access even though partner was doing so ( so far we are thinking...odd but probably has hired the attached t'house) We then left to have lunch and retrieve partners car from Tea Gardens...on returning opened in-house, unlocked door to access garage and pop one car in to make room for second car off road thinking nothing of it . The aforementioned vehicle returned in this very short period of us returning and with an aggressive gait and tone started saying "thats not part of the deal" We...baffled responded "pardon" he again "you shouldn't have keys to garage, thats not part of deal" We...still baffled "we have 1 key to which we had access to garage as well" Not once did this person inform us of who he was nor explained why he was insinuating some wrong action on our part. To make matters worse he then backed his vehicle into carport and left it there overnight making us feel watched...all night! His ownership was revealed on reporting back to Oceanside and them apologising but excusing his behaviouras "paranoid and burnt by other people sneaking extra people in" as if that excuses our appalling experience. This experience really rattled us and ruined our stay.

I’ve stayed at Ocean Side twice now and had a fabulous experience each time. Rooms were clean and spacious, hot tub was amazing, location was great, lots of free parking and the pool was lovely. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Price was affordable and reasonable for what was on offer. I’ll definitely be back.
